Ciao, Friends!

I am back ! and I've updated this blog- noticed? it's brighter and better! yey!
Hmm...so, anyway I am gonna have to post some more recipes and photos as well for this blog. Been caught up in life's traffic for months!
Okay, to make it up to you, here's another great tasting yet easy recipe and I guarantee - it is a hit.
I served this on my son's birthday and people just loved it and hey- no worries cause it's easy peasy - literally (chuckle...).

PRAWNS WITH GREEN PEAS & CASHEWS

Ingredients:

1 kg. fresh green peas
1/2- 1 kilo fresh prawns
250 gms. cashews, roasted
250 gms. chicken liver, pre boiled and sliced into cubes
1 big turnip, cubed
garlic, onion minced
500 gms. chicken broth
cornstarch for thickening

HOW TO:

1. Saute garlic and onions but do not brown the garlic, add a ladleful of fish sauce, about 1/4 cup.
2. Pour in the broth, simmer.
3. Add the turnips, simmer 5 minutes then add the prawns and liver.
4. Add the peas and cashews and thicken sauce with cornstarch-broth mixture, sieve if necessary, simmer for 3 minutes.
5. It is ready once the sauce has thickened.

DO NOT OVERCOOK ! you'd like the peas to still be tender and to retain it's color when you serve it okay?
Buon' appetit!
