HELLOOO!!!! ok I know I haven't been religiously updating this blog but here's another recipe that I thought you might like, similar to Salpicao but I made a few changes.
Perfect as an appetizer or as a rice meal topping- up to you really - this is how I cook my beef when I get bored with the usual recipes and hey! -it's well received. Try it- as usual my recipes are simple yet delicious so don't hesitate!
INGREDIENTS:
lean beef, preferably rump steak - sliced into strips
minced garlic
salt, chili powder or paste- depends on how hot you want it-1 tbsp. is mildly hot.
2 tbsp.oyster sauce
4-5 tbsp. worcestershire
olive oil
1/4 cup butter/margarine
whole roasted and unsalted cashew nuts
red bellpepper cut into small cubes ( note: small )
spring onion, sliced
HOW TO:
1. Heat pan or wok then pour olive oil- about 1/4 cup, add in the chili powder/paste at once.
2. Add beef, garlic and all the seasonings except for last 3 ingredients.
3. Stir fry until beef gets tender.
NOTE: if there's any accumulated juices from the beef pour into a separate container a bowl perhaps and SAVE IT.
4. Add in your cashews about 3/4 cup more or less, it depends on how much you want.
5. Add the butter.
NOTE: at this stage if you like this recipe just as it is then it's done, just transfer onto a serving plate and sprinkle with the sliced spring onions and red bellpepper ( capsicum )
BUT if you like it with creamy sauce then:
6. Mix a tbsp. of cornstarch to the saved juices from the beef and blend it in the wok, cook until the sauce thickens then sprinkle with spring onions and red peppers before serving.
Perfect with freshly cooked steamed rice, Hmmm ^_^ ...delicioso !
Ciao,ciao!
